Head of the Lab/Sr. Scientist
- Roberto brings a wealth of cell and molecular biology expertise. As a senior scientist he takes care of lab research activities, trains the lab personnel and manages the successful completion of research projects.
Marianne Bonvin, PhD
Administrator
- Marianne coordinates the administrative and financial activities of Curio Biotech.
- Marianne earned her PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Berne, Switzerland. She has an extensive research experience in human hepatocyte biology and regenerative biology.

Prof. Robert R. Friis (1942-2020)
Prof. Robert Friis was Full Professor of Cell Biology at University of Bern, Switzerland. Prior to that, he worked at Universität Giessen, Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research. He served several key positions at University of Bern as a Co-Director Department for Clinical Research (DCR), Vice Dean of the Medical Faculty and member of the Faculty Management.
Prof. Friis was instrumental during the foundation of Curio Biotech, providing invaluable suggestions and scientific advises for internal R&D programs. His passion for science, teaching, scientific thinking and encouragement to the young scientists will remain with us forever.
We lost a very good friend. We express our deep condolences to his family.
